Food For The Soul

Religious PictureVisitors to the church will be offered tours throughout the three-day Greek Fest 2010. These tours will highlight the iconography in the interior of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, as well as its unique Byzantine architecture.

They will, also, be introduced to the traditions and customs of this 2,000-year old religion.

Fr. Elias Stevens of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church will present the CBS 60 Minutes interview with Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew, titular head of the Greek Orthodox Church, and will offer a question and answer session.

Culture

Chora

This year, in addition to the tours offered to our guests of the beautiful Byzantine Greek Orthodox church, there will be an exhibit and lecture in the Hellenic Center on Patmos - the historic, religious island in the Mediterranean mentioned in the Book Of Revelations in the Bible. Moderated by Mike Foropoulos, a native of Patmos, you will enjoy this historical, pictorial and narrative sketch of this holy island.
