Admission tickets are $2 per person. The proceeds will go to: Alabama School of Math and Sciences, Bay Area Food Bank, Penelope House and Catholic Social Services.

Save the price of admission to Greek Fest 2009 by purchasing advanced tickets, date TBA. Tickets include the "Greek Dinner Plate", "Assorted Pastry Box", plus Free Admission.

Greek Fest Art Contest - IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME!

Enter the first ever art contest sponsored by Greek fest 2009!


Submit our artwork portraying your ideas of Greece, or all things Greek.

All winning artwork will be displayed during Greek Fest on November 5,6,&7, 2009.


The top three winners will be chosen from four age groups: 6-10, 11-15, 16-18, & adult.

Prizes: $50 gift card and winning artwork will be displayed in the “Hall of Fame”

The overall winner’s school or organization will receive a gift card as well!


Complete an entry form and submit your artwork in person to the Greek Orthodox Church, 50 South Ann Street or Top Music, at Government and Lakeshore Drive


Entry Deadline: October 9th 2009. Winner will be notified by October 14th, 2009

Contest Rules:

1. All entries must be original, created by the person entering the contest.

2. Artwork must be complete. One entry per person.

3. All artwork should have a Greek theme, in keeping with the title of the contest, “ It’s all Greek to me”.

4. Paper should be no smaller than 8.5” x 11” and no larger than 11” x 17”. Artwork should be submitted flat, and should not be folded, matted, or framed.

5. Entry forms must be completely filled out, and taped to the back of the artwork. Artwork submitted without the entry form will not be eligible for judging.

6. Entries must be submitted in person to: the Greek Orthodox Church at 50 South Ann Street (9am – 1pm) or Top Music, at Government and Lakeshore Drive.

7. All entries must be received by October 9th, 2009. Winners will be notified by October 14th, 2009.

8. Winning artwork is non-returnable and becomes the property of the Greek Orthodox Church.

9. Prizes are $50 to the top three in each category. One overall winner and the school or organization will both receive $100. Two “honorable mention” artwork pieces from each category will also be displayed alongside the winner’s artwork.
